Brushstroke

About the Exhibition

Brushstroke by Roy Lichtenstein (1923-1997, b. New York City, NY) is a monumental aluminum sculpture measuring 32.5’ x 8’ x 7.75’. The sculpture was first exhibited in front of the Casino in Monte Carlo in 1987 as part of that city’s annual art fair. At Doris C. Freedman Plaza, its individually sculpted sections of brightly painted aluminum “brushstrokes” together frame the entrance to Central Park.
